Ballerinas – A study of movement

This project has been developed from the

necessity of adding movement to my artworks.

I then started researching many materials and

how they worked and I developed a way of using

them that allowed the feature of passing the fluidity of dance to the paper.

About the artist:

Catarina Garcia is a fine artist, illustrator and graphic designer. Lives in Lisbon, Portugal.

Degree in Painting and Master’s degree in Drawing from the Fine Arts Faculty of Lisbon.

Specialization in Graphic Design (ETIC). Post-graduation in Visual Arts Teaching (Lusófona

University). Erasmus scholarship in Turin, Italy. Intensive Drawing Course at the Slade School of Art.

Currently works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Some of her works have been

published worldwide.

Always an obsessive learner, continues to update herself constantly.
